Kampot Countryside Tour

Morning or afternoon · about 4–5 hours

The Kampot day every traveller wants — done privately, at your pace, with someone who grew up on these roads. Seth picks you up at your guesthouse and you roll out past rice paddies and sugar palms to the places that made Kampot famous.

The route

  1. Kampot salt fields

Flat silver pans stretching to the horizon. In harvest season (roughly January to May) you can watch families rake and carry the salt by hand — late afternoon is best.

  2. La Plantation pepper farm

Walk the rows of the world-famous Kampot pepper, learn how black, red and white pepper are made, and taste it fresh. Seth can reserve the guided farm tour for you.

  3. Secret Lake

A quiet reservoir among the fields, with a story Seth will tell you himself — and views that are especially good late in the day.

  4. Phnom Chhngok cave temple

A 7th-century brick temple hidden inside a limestone cave. A short walk and a little scramble, through a village where kids will happily guide you.
